  • Kids Permaculture

South London Permaculture continue to develop the implementation of kids permaculture in the UK. That is, we hope to set up an institution where the kids of today will become the teachers of tomorrow. I have seen enough bright sparks amongst our lot to know that humanity will benefit greatly the more the kids start talking about it. I have received sporadic interest during the year and, as every permaculturist knows, one should go forward only when the resources are sufficient to maintain the system's integrity. So in our efforts we have been working with the Purple Broccoli Theatre Company to continue where we left off at last year's Giants & Saplings residency. See a copy of the latest SLP News (unfotunately only in Publisher), and also the overall aims of SLP in its vision statement presented under the umbrella project of Re-LEAF. There is a real opportunity here to continue planting the seeds of a perennial permaculture-style education that rivals the likes of Steiner or the Woodcraft Folk. But this should not to be just another outdoor experience, rather preparing kids in design and implementation. Anybody who would like to get involved contact us about how you think you could input.
